Welcome to the Monroe Police Department  (MPD) website.Chief T. QuenzerOur job is to carry out the mission of the Monroe Police Department defining the work values and ethics to this community with an overriding emphasis on quality.  There is no substitute for quality.  Our priority remains focused on cultivating a “service attitude” necessary in working for the citizens of Monroe.  The values of PRIDE outlined above have been established through a collaborative effort among all personnel of this agency and are applied within the Monroe Police Department Mission Statement.  The practice of these values is measured through the continuous stream of mail I receive from citizens praising individual performance.

Our department has earned a reputation of dedication and service in the State of Washington.  We will maintain the highest standards of professional ethics and personal integrity.  We are committed to a policing philosophy that stresses police-citizen partnerships in preventing and controlling crime, and addresses quality of life and disorder issues. 

It is a high honor for me to serve as Chief of such a hard working department.  I appreciate your confidence in my abilities and remain committed to maintaining the excellence in service that has made this department one of the most respected agencies in the state.
