The City of Monroe provides high quality water, sewer, and storm water services in a cost-effective manner.  Your utility bill includes water, sewer, garbage, recycling, and storm water fees.

Providing our customers with safe, high quality drinking water is the main priority.  The drinking water is supplied by the City of Everett.  It is safe and meets or exceeds all quality standards set forth by both the state and federal government.

Garbage – Waste Management
The City of Monroe contracts with Waste Management for all trash and recycling collection services in the City.  Residential areas are provided with two collection bins:  one for recyclables and one for yard waste materials.  Garbage cans are to be supplied by the customer.  Garbage and recycling services are mandatory inside the city limits, yard waste is optional.

Ways to Pay Your Utility Bill:

  • Automatic Bill Payment – Direct Debit

  • Mail your payment to:
    • City of Monroe
    • P. O. Box 3697
    • Seattle, WA 98124-3697

  • Drop off Payment Box is located on wall at City Hall front entrance area

  • Pay in person at Monroe City Hall during normal business hours

  • Pay over the phone with VISA or M/C, with applicable fee

How To Avoid Late Fees:

City utility bills are mailed monthly no later than the 9th day of each month.  Utility bill payments are due the last day of each month.  A penalty of $5.00 or 1.5% whichever is greater will be assessed if payment is late.  Failure to receive mail will not be recognized as a valid excuse for failure to pay.  Please contact City Hall if you need special arrangements for payment of your bill.
